Active ingredients & how it works: Contains glycerol BP and urea hydrogen peroxide 5%. Glycerol softens and hydrates the wax, while urea hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen, helping to break down thick deposits into smaller fragments that can be washed or migrate out of the ear.

Indications: For treatment of hardened or impacted earwax, particularly in individuals prone to recurrent build‑up (e.g. hearing‑aid users, older adults, swimmers). Can also be used intermittently to help prevent further accumulation of wax.

Age range: Suitable for adults and the elderly. Children can use it following medical advice – always check the PIL for minimum age guidance.

How to use:

• Tilt the head to one side so the affected ear is uppermost.
• Squeeze 3–6 drops into the ear canal as directed.
• Keep the head tilted for several minutes to allow the drops to penetrate and act on the wax.
• Maintain the drops in the ear for up to around 10 minutes as per leaflet, then gently rinse the ear with lukewarm water if advised.
• Repeat once or twice daily for 3–6 days for active treatment, or once weekly to help prevent build‑up, according to the PIL.
• Always follow the PIL otherwise

Warnings & precautions (summary – not exhaustive):

• Do not use if the eardrum is known or suspected to be perforated.
• Avoid use in the presence of active ear infection, marked itching dermatitis or eczema affecting the ear canal, or unexplained ear pain – seek medical review instead.
• Do not use at the same time as other ear drops unless instructed by a clinician.
• Advise patients that temporary fullness, bubbling or fizzing sensation and short‑lived dizziness can occur as the drops act on the wax; persistent or severe symptoms warrant review.

Stop treatment and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms do not improve after a full course, or if they worsen.
