The programme is delivered under the direction of a Consultant ENT Surgeon, supported by experienced clinical trainers who specialise in ENT. These clinicians have years of experience performing microsuction in clinical practice including the NHS.

Yes. Where clinically appropriate, delegates will observe and may perform supervised microsuction on real patients during training or shadowing. Otherwise you may train on your peers.
This is a key differentiator from many courses that only use models.
Delegates train using clinical-grade microsuction machines, Owl digital video otoscopes, and examination loupes. All equipment is provided for training.
On successful completion, delegates should be able to safely assess patients, perform microsuction, recognise red flags, follow infection control procedures, and manage documentation. Competency sign-off is available for those who demonstrate readiness.
The course is delivered under Consultant ENT supervision and is CPD eligible. A certificate of completion is provided. Formal CPD accreditation may be added where applicable.
Yes. We offer the DRUB Confidence & Competency Guarantee. The course fee includes live Zoom theory training, in-person practical training, use of all equipment, lunch and refreshments on the practical day, training handbook and resources, certificate of completion, and post-course clinical support.
