Definitions

DRUB”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to the service provider operating the DRUB pod

“Client”, “you” is the person using the DRUB services

“Appointment” is the scheduled booking for any DRUB services

“Services” are the Earwax removal, wellness checks, and related pod-based services

“Home Visit” are the services provided at the client’s location

“Practitioner” are the trained technician performing the treatment

  1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of DRUB’s Ear Care & Wellness pod services. By booking an appointment, attending a session, or interacting with our services, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Service Overview

DRUB provides appointment‑based earwax removal (microsuction or manual techniques) and wellness assessments including basic vital checks. Services are provided in‑pod or via arranged home visits. DRUB reserves the right to enhance, modify, or discontinue services as needed.

  1. Medical Disclaimer

3.1 DRUB practitioners are trained, insured, and competent to carry out standard earwax removal and wellness checks. 

3.2 DRUB services is not diagnostic and does not replace medical consultations, diagnostic imaging, or emergency care. 

3.3 You must disclose all relevant medical information, including previous ear surgery, perforated eardrum, recent infections, ongoing symptoms, or medication that may affect treatment. 

3.4 DRUB may decline to perform treatment if it is deemed clinically unsafe.

  1. Eligibility

4.1 Clients must be 18 years or older to book independently. 

4.2 Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We currently do not see patient under the age of 14.

4.3 DRUB may refuse service if a client is unsuitable or unfit for treatment.

  1. Booking Policy

5.1 Appointments can be made via our website, over the phone or on-site via authorised staff. 

5.2 You will receive a confirmation via email or SMS. 

5.3 For home visits, the client must provide accurate address details and access details.

  1. Pricing

6.1 All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. 

6.2 Prices may change at any time. Confirmed appointments retain the price applied at time of booking.

  1. Refund Policy

7.1 Full refunds are issued when:

(a) DRUB cancels the appointment due to operational or clinical reasons.

(b) No wax is found on examination

(c) Cancellation is made more than 72 hours prior to the clients appointment

7.2 If treatment cannot be performed due to clinical factors (e.g., infection, contraindications), a partial refund or rescheduling option may be offered, and a consultation fee of £20 may apply. 

7.3 Partial refund of 50% of the fee are issued when:

(a) Client cancels within 72 hours of appointment but more than 24 hours out.

7.4 Refunds are not issued for client‑related cancellations outside policy terms.

  1. No‑Show Policy

8.1 A no‑show occurs when a client:

  1. a) does not attend the appointment,
  2. b) cancels or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice, or
  3. c) is unavailable during a home visit.

8.2 A no‑show incurs a fee equal to 100% of the appointment cost

8.3 No refunds are issued for no‑shows.

  1. Late Attendance

9.1 Clients must arrive on time and ideally 5 minutes prior to appointment.

9.2 If the client is more than 10 minutes late, DRUB may shorten or refuse treatment. 

9.3 Full fees remain payable regardless of late arrival. 

9.4 Rescheduling due to lateness may incur an additional fee.

  1. Clinical Treatment Outcomes

10.1 Earwax removal outcomes depend on wax consistency, blockage severity, and ear anatomy. 

10.2 Full removal in one session is not guaranteed. 

10.3 Follow‑up sessions may be needed, charged at standard rates unless otherwise stated.

  1. Client Responsibilities

11.1 Provide complete and accurate medical information. 

11.2 Follow pre‑appointment instructions such as softening drops if recommended. 

11.3 Follow aftercare guidance provided by the practitioner. 

11.4 Treat all staff respectfully. DRUB reserves the right to refuse service in cases of inappropriate behaviour.

  1. Home Visit Policy

12.1 Access must be safe, legal, and appropriate for the practitioner to deliver care. 

12.2 If a practitioner attends and cannot perform treatment due to client unavailability or unsuitable environment, the full fee remains payable. 

12.3 Additional travel charges may apply.

12.4 All pets must be kept out of the room where the treatment is happening.

  1. Hygiene & Infection Control

13.1 DRUB adheres to strict hygiene protocols including sanitisation and use of disposable or sterilised equipment. 

13.2 Clients showing symptoms of contagious illness may be refused treatment for safety reasons.

  1. Liability

14.1 DRUB is not responsible for:

  1. a) complications stemming from undisclosed conditions,
  2. b) reactions where risks were explained,
  3. c) outcomes resulting from failure to follow guidance,
  4. d) lost or damaged personal items at the pod.

14.2 Nothing in these Terms limits legal rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.

  1. Privacy & GDPR

15.1 Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with GDPR. 

15.2 Data is used only for clinical, booking, and communication purposes. 

15.3 You may request access, amendment, or deletion of your data as legally permitted.

  1. Changes to These Terms

16.1 DRUB may update these Terms without prior notice and advise to check these terms to ensure you understand them.

16.2 The updated Terms will be published online and apply immediately to new bookings.
